One of the first things I do is to motivate them in both live lectures and by indirect suggestions during the lecture itself. In the live lectures, I may discuss how powerful the hypnosis has been with past clients. I talk about the benefits of losing weight or stopping smoking. It is very important that the client personally wants to lose weight or quit smoking, rather than to merely please their friends or loved ones. Of course loving support from their friends is also of great help.

For the first few weeks, 20-30 minutes for each session is advised. After you are well practised with the methods, you will be able to hypnotize yourself in a few minutes or even seconds. I hope I'm hypnotized! When will it work?" Having worked with hundreds and thousands of people, I have found that simply telling clients the above will assist virtually anyone to be hypnotized easily.
